So it's late and technically tomorrow, but I just finished making homemade brownies for church tomorrow...so we wouldn't have to worry about it in the morning and can go to the feria (farmer's market--absolutely lovely here) instead. earlier today i returned from a lovely adventure to jaco...but my battery is about to die, so i think i shall go to bed, my friends.

wow those brownies are really chocolately...so we didn't end up going to the feria anyway porque when we got to the car the alarm went off and my mom didn't know how to stop the loud sirens and my dad was out mountain biking and my mom was embarassed and didn't want to take the car anywhere :) esta bien. next week.
so my weekend...started with carrie and steve's plotting for our three-day weekend for independence day.

hey guys. i'm doing well. i would like to hang out with you though, and have a good talk or something...go for a drive. turn up the music. good music. three weeks now! it seems like it's been a little longer than that, yet it has also flown by...wierd how it always seems that way. time is an interesting concept. i'm listening to some of my old music i haven't heard forever on my ipod...good stuff. and just finished trying to paint a bit. on the way home from jaco i strummed a guitar for the first time in a long time. there's a lot of things i sometimes forget i love. and need to remember to spend time doing in order to...actually know it. learn things i've always wanted to. and actually become a doer of what i love, or lover of what i do. and what better time than now while in costa rica with more time than i'll probably ever have again... -sigh- today, or right now, i am inspired and motivated, but the truth is that i am lazy. even more so in the most opportune times such as now and summers when less is required of me. and unfortunately, this has especially applied in my time with God. for quite some time now, i have pretty much stopped regularly reading the Bible and even my prayer journal. for no real reason other than simply not wanting to or not making time for it (in my pretty lax schedule). and i can tell a difference. in my attitude and such...i know i desperately need to get back into fellowship at some point...and am starting to actually try again...but i still have a lot of laziness to get over, my friends. it's true. i'm a lazy fool. yet the truth is that through it all i continue to fall ever in love and awe of our Lord...but what is love without action? feed the sheep, kid...
anyhow, i am excited about other prospects of hopeful goals as well...here are some of the random skills or knowledge i would like to acquire or develop:
surfing
guitar
painting
ministering
hablando espanol
dance
love
train for a triathalon
reading
writing
develop a strong opinion in politics
see movies i've never seen
keep in touch
i don't even really care to be amazing or anything...just proficient enough to feel that i really know how to...i think i've dabbled a lot in some things, but it seems that as soon as i had one thing down, i stopped going further...

buenas! how have you all been? surviving life and busyness and all? nice job.
i have been well...and here for a month now. wow. this last weekend was campimento de familia...family camp! mis padres y yo went with our church and adopted a blonde sister for the weekend--our friend carrie. it was in the mountains and was muy bonita and a good time...full of jungle mud pit obstacle courses, waterfalls swims, high ropes courses, sports, and dirty clothes.
guys, my mom and i and carrie had a good talk last night up until midnight (which is now actually late for me since we get up so early) and it was just good. dears, we've all got something we think is wrong with us...some just do a better job of hiding or dealing, but don't get discouraged...keep pursuing God...fight it...tell people...and know i love you. :) let's go be girly and watch anne of green gables...
oh, so i never told you about last weekend, did i?
i might go to panama this weekend. with carrie and aaron.
OH, so good news:
we realized that ICE (the telecommunications company down here) may never come around, and so we finally broke down and are going to get cable which includes internet access or something...and they are supposed to come tomorrow i believe...so we will very soon have internet, a cali# phone, and lots of channels (only like one fuzzy spanish channel comes in right now)...we have been pretty disconnected since we got here, but actually, i haven't minded too too much. but it will definitely be soo nice to be connected to you and the world again!
